Simon Broder grew up dreaming of playing for the Toronto Blue Jays and has carried a lifelong passion for sports through in his writing. His middle-grade novelette Running The Point, about a young Mexican-American point guard finding his way both on the court and in the world, won the 2018 Story Shares Diversity Grand Prize, while other short fiction has appeared in Blank Spaces and Chantwood Magazine. Current freelance work includes co-writing the memoir Sleeping With The Material World, creating business-to-business content for Irwin's Industrial Safety, and covering the Toronto Raptors for Raptors HQ. For those looking to improve their writing skills, Simon also offers tutoring. He lives and works in Toronto.
